Isabella Mawhinney

Isabella Mawhinney joined the SMS Community in August 2024, bringing with her unique experience and a genuine passion for working with children. Having been homeschooled, Isabella developed a deep appreciation for personalized learning and the importance of fostering a supportive and engaging environment for young learners.

Growing up and still residing on beautiful Cape Cod, Isabella has spent several years as a licensed horseback riding instructor. This experience allowed her to connect with children of all ages in meaningful ways, fostering their confidence and encouraging them to embrace new challenges. 

This role at SMS marks Isabella’s first venture into early childhood education, a field that she is excited to be a part of. She looks forward to contributing to our Montessori classrooms, and to nurturing young learner’s curiosity and growth. 

In her free time, Isabella enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and caring for her horses and dogs.
