Future Sandwich Montessorian

Sandwich Montessori School, Sandwich MA

We are growing and we often don’t get time to post a position before we find a candidate. If you choose to send along your information, we'll review and hold onto your resume in case a position that's a good fit comes along. Often we know of an upcoming role that's not yet posted, we'll reach out to connect with you right away.

Description

Continuously operating since 1998, Sandwich Montessori School's Children's House is set on a beautiful, 2-acre campus where we guide children toward independence, positive self-image, and a love for learning. The calm and inviting atmosphere inspires creativity and imagination and allows teachers to be at their best.

We have enhanced the student experience at SMS by bringing much of our academic time outdoors. We researched, re-imagined, and re-structured our day to ensure children are learning in the safest and most effective way given our current circumstances.

Our intimate, nature-based program offers teachers and families a supportive community and welcoming environment. We focus on building our team through connection, professional development, and self-reflection.

Qualification:

We'd love to talk with you if you possess:

  • A love for outdoor and nature-based learning
  • The desire to work at a growing school, where each team member has the opportunity to make a significant impact on the program and community
  • The desire to spark joy for learning in young children
  • A passion for getting education right through the Montessori pedagogy

We will prefer you over other candidates if you have:

  • 1+ years experience in a Montessori classroom
  • The mindset that we are part of a family’s “village” and understand the importance of building loyalty within the caregiver community

Benefits:

Benefits offered for this position include:

  • Working on beautiful Cape Cod in a peaceful, nature-based campus atmosphere
  • Opportunities for significant career growth
  • Ongoing professional development built into our school calendar
  • A competitive salary
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays, up to 6 weeks
  • The opportunity to be part of something bigger, have your voice heard, and a seat at the table
