Academics:

Sandwich Montessori is a firmly established Montessori school dedicated to providing a quality educational experience for children (2.9-12) in a caring well equipped environment that is conducive to learning. The classes are multiage grouped with Montessori trained teachers and a low child to teacher ratio.

The school has enjoyed steady growth over the years as we meet the needs of our children and families. Our latest expansion includes a new Children’s House classroom and the addition of an Upper Elementary classroom with new computers. This spacious new classroom gives our older students room to grow as learners and as people.

Our cycle of education begins with our Children’s House programs and progresses through our Lower and Upper Elementary programs. Each classroom is fully equipped with Montessori materials and reflects the full and caring environment in which our teachers respectfully guide and follow the child.

Sandwich Montessori School understands the educational needs of children in our 3-6 programs, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary. Maria Montessori recognized that learning is a logical sequence of experiences, each of which has to be firmly in place before the next can occur, so each room is designed to provide the materials and stimuli that support the children, and at the same time leads them on with new challenges and levels of learning.
